First Aid Corps

Our training partners are organising free hands-on only workshops on CPR with the automated external defibrillator (AED) on dummies. You can just pop in, spend 10-15 minutes on using the AED device with CPR on the dummies and learn a very simple life-saving skill.

We are a coalition of individuals, companies and volunteers who are seeking to improve the survival rates from sudden cardiac arrests. The volunteers are trained to provide first aid, especially cardiopulmonary resuscitation with automated external defibrillators, to their families and neighbours who have collapsed from unknown reasons. Death from heart attacks occur within 5 minutes. Only residents in the neighbourhood can respond within that time. 2 out of 3 cases occur at home. By forming FACTs ( First Aid Corps Teams ), they aim to increase the sudden cardiac arrest survival rate from the current 2% to at least a double digit and promote social bonding and cohesion with a common goal in the community. This is the only volunteer service where the volunteers are productive while at home.
